What is hand surgery?
Hand surgery is a specialized field of medicine focusing on the hand, wrist, and upper extremity. We treat everything from the fingertip up to (but not including) the shoulder. Hand surgeons receive training in orthopedic surgery, plastic surgery and general surgery. We are highly qualified to treat any problems of the hand and upper extremity.
Does THAC offer only surgical options?
Although our doctors are trained as orthopedic hand surgeons, many of the conditions we treat do not require surgery. Once your condition has been diagnosed, both you and your provider will determine the appropriate treatment plan. Where is THAC located?
The THAC office is conveniently located at North Central Surgical Center Hospital at 9301 North Central Expressway, Tower 1, Suite 300, Dallas, TX 75231. Our patients may valet at a discounted rate with validation from our office or self-park at no charge. Valet is available Monday through Thursday from 7:30am to 5:00pm and Friday from 7:30am to 4:00pm. For complete directions to the office, please

What insurance does THAC accept?
Each doctor accepts most major insurance plans, including Aetna, BCBS, Cigna, United Health Care, and Medicare. Insurance plans may vary with each physician. With the ever-evolving healthcare insurance market, we strongly recommend that you contact the member services department listed on your insurance card to verify that our providers are contracted with your particular plan.
What should I bring to my appointment?
You, or your responsible party, should bring photo identification and all insurance cards to every appointment. It is helpful to bring any previous medical records and items such as imaging studies/CDs, previous operative reports, pertinent lab studies, and nerve conduction studies/EMGs to help us understand your situation and prior treatment, ensure efficiency throughout your visit and to avoid unnecessary duplication of medical testing. We also recommend that you have a current list of your medications. In addition, please make sure you have completed your online
new patient forms through your THAC patient portal. If these have not been completed prior to your arrival, your appointment time may be delayed and, in some cases, you may be asked to reschedule your appointment to a different day.
Does THAC treat children?
THAC treats both adults and children. Our providers received extra training in pediatric and congenital hand conditions at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital. Where do the providers at THAC operate?
Our providers operate at North Central Surgical Center, Medical City Dallas, Medical City Ambulatory Surgery Center, and Baylor Scott & White Sports Surgery Center at the Star. Please see the Surgery Packet link on our
Patient Center page for facility details.
