Thomas C. DiLiberti, MD

Dr. DiLiberti is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of disorders of the hand, wrist, and elbow in adults and children. His areas of focus include fractures, sports injuries, tendinitis, arthritis, and nerve compression syndromes such as carpal tunnel syndrome. He provides both non-surgical and surgical treatment options. After completing his undergraduate studies at Stanford University, Dr. DiLiberti graduated from medical school in Houston, TX. He then completed his orthopedic residency at Baylor College of Medicine. In 1997, he completed his hand and microvascular surgery fellowship at the University of California in San Diego.

Dr. DiLiberti also holds a Certificate of Added Qualification in hand surgery and is a member of both the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and the American Society for Surgery of the Hand. He is honored by his peers as a “D Best Doctor” in D magazine. He is the Hand Surgeon for the Dallas Cowboys. He also acts as a hand surgery consultant for the Texas Rangers, Dallas Stars, and SMU athletics. Dr. DiLiberti has published scientific articles as well as lectured at national meetings.

Timothy B. Larson, MD

Dr. Larson is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in the treatment of the hand, wrist, and elbow. After graduating from the University of Utah with a Bachelor of Arts in French, he attended medical school at The Ohio State University, where he graduated magna cum laude, received the Academic Excellence Scholarship for the top performance in his class, and was elected as a junior medical student to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. He completed his internship and residency at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, North Carolina, where he discovered his passion for hand anatomy and hand surgery, and then returned to Ohio for a year of specialized training at the Mary S. Stern Hand and Upper Extremity Fellowship in Cincinnati.

In 2013, Dr. Larson began practice in Denton as the city’s only full-time orthopedic hand surgeon. His areas of focus include endoscopic carpal tunnel release, wrist arthroscopy, and surgical, percutaneous, and collagenase (Xiaflex) treatment for Dupuytren’s disease, as well as care for fractures and trauma of the hand and upper extremity. He also has advanced training in the treatment of finger, thumb, wrist, and elbow arthritis, including joint replacement and thumb basilar joint arthroplasty, and in the minimally invasive treatment of tendon disorders of the upper extremity. After 13 years in Denton, Dr. Larson is excited to join Texas Hand and Arm Center. Outside of practice, he enjoys spending time with his wife, children, and two dogs, as well as running, weightlifting, triathlons, tennis and pickleball, serving as a youth teacher at church, and traveling.

Kimberly K. Mezera, MD

Kimberly Mezera, MD, grew up in Wisconsin; in 1987, she graduated from the University of North Texas and received her medical degree and training at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. She completed her residency for general surgery at Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas and then finalized her expertise in hand and micro-vascular procedures at the prestigious Hand Fellowship Hospital for Special Surgery in New York, New York.

Dr. Mezera is recognized not only as a leader in her industry, but she has a love for teaching others as well. As the director of Parkland’s hand and upper extremity services, she has spent over 13 years teaching residents about the latest techniques and procedures for helping patients recover from fractures, lacerations, tendon injuries, soft tissue and nerve damage. Dr. Mezera is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon who specializes in the treatment of hand and upper extremity conditions, including pediatric cases. She has been honored by D Magazine as “Best” by her peers and in Texas Monthly for the past several years as a top physician.

Megan M. Wood, MD

Dr. Wood is a board-certified, fellowship trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in surgery of the hand, wrist, elbow and upper extremity. She is a Dallas native who studied at The University of California, Berkeley and returned home to attend medical school at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, also the home of her orthopedic surgery residency. After her residency, she completed a fellowship in hand and microvascular surgery under the tutelage of Dr. David Green at The Hand Center of San Antonio and UTHSCSA. She also received additional training in pediatric and congenital hand conditions at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital.

Dr. Wood has published scientific articles and book chapters on various orthopedic and hand-related topics, and she has served as a Clinical Assistant Professor at UT Southwestern Medical School for the Department of Orthopedic Surgery. She is an active and engaged member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and the American Society for Surgery of the Hand.

Sesalie Leon, PA-C

Sesalie León, PA-C is a nationally certified physician assistant who is passionate about providing thoughtful, patient-centered care and helping individuals feel confident throughout their treatment journey. Ms. León earned her Bachelor of Health Science from Hendrix College, where she also competed as a collegiate volleyball athlete, and went on to receive her Master of Physician Assistant Studies from LSU Health Sciences Center in Shreveport. She is board certified by the NCCPA.

She has experience in orthopedic medicine, working in both clinic and surgical settings with a focus on upper extremity conditions. Ms. León has assisted in procedures involving the hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder, and is dedicated to delivering high-quality care while building strong, trusting relationships with her patients.

As a North Texas native, she is proud to serve the community she calls home. Outside of work, you can find her spending time with family and friends and enjoying life with her growing family.
